Q: Are there any refunds if my event cancels?
A: Once a price is determined for your event a 50% deposit is required. If you were to cancel your event 10% of that deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are required as your seafood is caught 1-2 days prior to your event to provide you with the freshest seafood available. All balances are due on the day of the event.

Q: What type of payments do Best Boilers accept?
A: Cash, cashier check, and money orders. Remaining balances must be paid with cash or money orders only. Credit card/pay pal will be accepted in the future. * If you prefer to pay with a check, balance must be paid in full 2 weeks prior to event*

Q: Where does your crawfish come from?
A: We only use Louisiana farm raised and wild caught crawfish. Our farm-raised comes out of Rayne, LA, Mamou, LA, Henderson, LA and Breaux Bridge LA. Our wild caught are trap in river, streams, bayous, and spillway of Louisiana. Our state produces the highest quality crawfish compared to surrounding areas. We promise that you will only be served fresh & live Louisiana crawfish.

Q: On average how many pounds of crawfish does a person consume in one sitting?
A: Kids typically consume 1-4 lbs. Adults consume roughly 5-10 lbs.

Q: What is the price of crawfish per pound?
A: Crawfish are seasonal with US production from November to July (peak supplies April-June.)There are many factors, such as time of season, the amount of rainfall, weather, droughts, or supply & demand which can influence the price of crawfish or any seafood per pound. Q: What’s the purpose of sucking the heads of the crawfish?
A: Due to the soaking process and the crawfish being well seasoned lots of folks enjoy the flavorful fat & juices that come from the head of the crawfish. Plus the fat is generally used as a base for many of the rich sauces that are traditional with crawfish.

Q: I don’t know how to peel or eat crawfish! Will someone be available to help?
A: Yes! Showing first time crawfish eaters how to peel and get to the tail meat is our pleasure!

Q: Do I have to provide any special equipment for my event?
A: We have a 16 ft catering rig that is capable of boiling up to 1100 lbs of crawfish. The site will need adequate space to accommodate the trailer with access to a common water hose connect to retrieve water. For smaller events we use large boiling pots but adequate space is still needed for setup and access to a water hose connect.

Q: Should I have any other supplies on hand that will make my event more successful?
A: Tables and Chairs are the only thing you will need to provide. We provide your event with items such as paper towels, garbage bags, and large trashcans. We take care of everything including the clean up! Trash is hauled off when we leave relieving you of finding a place to dispose unwanted items.

Q: When are Crabs in season?
A: Crabs are sold between August and February, however, crabs can be caught and purchased any time of the year.

Q: What other catering needs do Best Boilers provide?
A: We offer offsite catering to our customers. Contact us and we will deliver! Snow crabs, lobsters, and boiled meat are also catered. Our meats are boiled to perfection in our special Best Boilers Blend. If you have never had boiled meat you should give it a try! You’ll love it! Its Finger Licking and Sucking Good!
